Named after a Sicilian river known to have several colorful materials. Its red is intense and it was believed to have therapeutic effects if used on a skin burn in the antique Roman world.

Chemically speaking it is a Silica Dioxide yet, its crystallography is such to accentuate its bright colors.
The material is sliced in a 1/8in elements. And, subsequently, these are posed on a 3/8 in glass allowing light to pass through.
